Introduction

Hello, fellow creators and dreamers! I'm David Levin, a storyteller with roots in MTV production and a career that spans giants like Warner Brothers, DC Comics, Marvel, and more. With a childhood infused with the vibrant energy of New York City and New Jersey, my journey in entertainment has always been about exploring new realms of creativity. And now, I'm thrilled to share my latest adventure with you: a project I am genuinely excited about, titled "Monsters Aren't Real."

Monsters Art Reel: A Creative Collaboration

Over the last few weeks, you may have noticed bursts of social media activity about "Monsters Art Reel," an endeavor that brings together both new and familiar faces. My partner in creativity, the extraordinary children's author Nancy Krulik, joins me on this quest. With an impressive portfolio of over 250 books for children and several appearances on The New York Times bestseller list, she is the perfect ally in crafting this imaginative cartoon. Our narrative centers around Amelia, a young girl living in a town reminiscent of my own hometown, who emphatically believes that monsters are mere figments of imagination. Her adventures unfold with her friend Harlan, who believes otherwise, setting the stage for countless encounters with whimsical creatures.

Kickstarting Our Vision

With a dream in our hearts and passion fueling our souls, we turned to Kickstarter to help bring our vision to life. This is not just another project; it's a movement to create a unique kids' show, devoid of existing intellectual properties. It promises humor that resonates across generations, aiming to evoke laughter not only from children but from parents as well. Although we've already achieved our initial fundraising target of $5,000, our ambition stretches further. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to develop additional episodes and fully realize this dream. The support from friends, family, and even strangers, will allow us to explore untapped creative possibilities.

Exciting Perks and Contributions

Our journey continues, and there are only a few days left to join us before our campaign wraps up on Wednesday night. Special perks await those who contribute $25 or more. Upon reaching our stretch goal, every supporter will receive a limited edition "Monsters Aren't Real" comic book. Imagine being part of a legacy similar to the legendary Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ origins—a future where our comic book might hold astonishing value. Additionally, we've woven innovative rewards into our Kickstarter, thanks to the marvel of AI technology. Contributors can enjoy exclusive cameos in our episodes, personalized greetings from our characters, or even interactive videos perfect for social media sharing. These are rare perks that enhance the tangible connection between you and our vibrant world.

A Creation Built on Passion

While AI has helped us animate our characters, every aspect of their creation—from their personalities to their stories—springs from human creativity. With Nancy crafting the scripts and myself imagining the characters, our year-long efforts have culminated in characters brimming with life and laughter. As we approach this campaign's finale, your participation matters more than ever. Nancy, my child, and I firmly believe in "Monsters Aren't Real"—a belief we hope you will share. Join us in making these delightful creatures a reality. Monsters may not be real, but with your help, they can be. Conclusion Together, let's champion a project filled with creativity, laughter, and untold stories waiting to be shared. Be part of this exciting chapter in animation and storytelling, as we prepare to unveil our world to dreamers everywhere. Your support can make these cherished monsters a beloved reality. Let's create magic, one pledge at a time.
