A Whale of a Tale

CALL ME ISHMAEL.

I wanted to start the pilot script for Monsters Aren’t Real??? with that line. Unfortunately, Herman Melville grabbed it first for Moby Dick. So, I had to come up with something else.

You want to know what it is???           

I’m tempted not to tell you, because I do have a bit of a mean streak. 

But seeing as you’re here already...

The first line of our very first script is:  Robot. Love. Electric. Slide.

Okay, it's not Melville. But it works for me.

So, that’s the first line for now.  I’ve written and rewritten the script at least 27 times since David Levin I started working on Monsters Aren’t Real??? a lot of sleeps ago.  (Or non-sleeps.  Writing monsters can sometimes give you a good case of insomnia.). I’ve also written fine-tuned drafts of 8 other scripts in full, blogs, Kickstarter social media posts, and jokes.

So many, many jokes.

That first line has been a secret up until now. David and I are holding lots of secrets. But secrets always come out, and so will ours. And most of them will come out as videos on our new YouTube page. We’re already posting all kinds of crazy stuff there, leading up to the big debut.  Here’s the link:
