SURF'S UP!

Cowabunga!  It’s me, the Beach Beast, coming to you from the sandy shores after a day of riding some wild waves. Right now I’m just chillin’ and having a good laugh as I watch Nancy Krulik figure out how to fit a totally crazy dude like me into the latest script she’s writing for the Monsters Aren’t Real??? cartoon show. Just when she thinks she’s got everything figured out, I keep popping up in her brain, twisting things around, and adding a laugh or two. I’m telling you, I’ve been giving her a totally gnarly time.  But that’s kind of my thing. After all, when David Levin first came up with me, he saw me as the frenemy type.

That’s the way those two work. They bounce ideas off one another like a beach volleyball, and eventually, they come up with a winning idea for a script, or a character, or even just a title.  Sometimes it

feels like they’re working together like a two-headed monster. Which wouldn't work for me, but hey, you do you, right?

Anyhow, I’m gonna go find myself a good sandbar and chill out with a lemonade.  Look for me, next time you hit the beach. And don’t forget the sunscreen!
